What is Zydeco? It's high-energy dance music from the swamps of southcentral and southwestern Louisiana. Think Lafayette and Lake Charles. The accordion and the rubboard blast out distinctive tunes and a propulsive rythym, powered by a full electric guitar, bass, and drums rythym section. In Louisiana, and now in Pittsburgh, folks come out on the weekend to dance for hours while the band plays.
